Let me begin by telling you that I am recovering from breast reduction surgery done March 16th. This was my fifth surgery and the most difficult for me to recover from. I am guessing that is because it is my third surgery in eight months, along with three months of chemotherapy and two months of radiation treatments due to breast cancer that was diagnosed May 30, 2019. I developed an infection at the point where the three pieces of skin come together and still trying to get it to heal. Yesterday I discovered a 1" - 1 1/2" piece of "dissolvable" stitches wrapped around that at first I thought was a piece of skin, until I tried to push it aside and one end came out, showing me that it was a stitch instead.
I am not complaining, simply letting you know what I am going through. In spite of the slower with more complications, I am continuing to draw and write. In the last few days I have drawn a picture of a couple lounging on the beach with mixed drinks, a pair of chickadees, four pair of flip flops on the beach, and a silverbird (that lives in Uganda). When I get a minute to take pictures I will upload them to this website.
The intention of this website and blog page is to show other survivors that we can do anything, especially when God gives us the gift. However, I am also selling my work with a portion of the monies going to help other people that have been abused and working to get out of the situation and/or heal.
